Cryptography
Research on encryption, secure computation, post-quantum schemes and the limits of what can be broken.
Cryptography research moves carefully, because a scheme is only trusted after years of public attack. AI Frontier follows new papers on post-quantum cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, secure multi-party computation and cryptanalysis.
How to read these signals
Treat early claims of a "broken" cipher with caution. Many results weaken a reduced version of an algorithm, or need unrealistic resources. The useful questions are which parameters were attacked, how many resources were needed, and whether the attack applies to the version people actually deploy.
Every entry in the live feed is labelled by source type: Lab report (reported by the research team), Preprint (not necessarily peer reviewed) or Research news (institutional coverage). The label describes where it came from, not whether it is correct.
